About Kirralee
I’m proud to call Sandpiper Ward home, where I live with my husband, David and our daughter. From enjoying bike rides through the wetlands to spending time at the beach or supporting small businesses, I’m deeply invested in the future of our shared community.
My journey into local government began with my work as the President and founding member of the Edithvale Collective. This grassroots placemaking initiative brought together passionate community members to create meaningful change. One of our proudest achievements was securing $2.3 million in government funding to improve local footpaths, a testament to what can be accomplished with clear goals and a collaborative spirit. I’m proud of the work we achieved together, including the soon-to-be-delivered improvements at the Edithvale shopping village, set to be completed in 2026. I stepped down from the Collective in 2024, following my election.
I also proudly served on the committee of the Edithvale Life Saving Club from 2023 until mid-2025. That role deepened my appreciation for connection, safety, and inclusivity in community spaces.
Today, as an elected Councillor for Kingston, I sit on the Youth Committee, Arts and Culture Committee, Historical Committee, Access and Equity Committee, and SECCA (South East Councils Climate Alliance). These roles reflect my strong belief in responsive, well-rounded representation that brings people together and focuses on what matters most to our local area.
I prioritise getting the basics right—essential services, accessible infrastructure, and safe, connected streets. I care deeply about our open spaces and parks, and I’m passionate about the role of arts and culture in creating a vibrant, welcoming community.
Importantly, I also advocate for people who don’t always have the loudest voices—those living with disability, experiencing disadvantage, or who simply feel unheard. I believe everyone deserves to be part of the conversation and that no one should be left behind.
With 15 years of experience as a small business owner, I bring strong skills in problem-solving, financial management, and clear communication to my role as your councillor. I’m committed to listening, acting with integrity, and always putting our community first.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I’d love to hear your thoughts, ideas, or concerns as we work together for the future of Sandpiper Ward.

FAMILY LIFE
Living in this ward for over a decade with my husband David, we feel incredibly lucky to call this place home and to be able to raise our child here. We enjoy bike rides along the beautiful Wetlands, cheering on soccer games at Edithvale Reserve, grabbing a toastie at Tomboys Canteen, having coffee at Edihvale General Store, a pizza at Bo Gurks and shopping for veggies at Edi Grocer. And nothing beats our favourite spot, Edithvale Beach, where we love spending quality family time together.
Edithvale Collective.
I am proud to be a founding member and former leader of the Edithvale Collective, a community-driven initiative with which I was passionately involved from 2017 until I stepped down after being elected to Council in 2024.
The Collective has always been about positive, community-led change. From the beginning, I worked closely with the City of Kingston Council in a volunteer capacity, advocating for improvements to our suburb and creating spaces that bring people together. A key focus was listening to locals, translating community feedback into actionable steps, and championing ideas that truly reflect what residents want.
Through initiatives like the pop-up park and the revitalisation of the Edithvale shopping village, we’ve seen just how powerful community collaboration can be. Thanks to this advocacy work, the shopping village upgrade is now funded and scheduled for completion in 2026—an exciting and long-overdue improvement.
Being part of the Edithvale Collective has been an enriching experience, and I’m proud of what we achieved together. I deeply care about the place where I live, and that commitment continues to guide my work today.

My story of placemaking within the community.
Edithvale Life Saving Club Volunteer.
I’ve also been an active volunteer at the Edithvale Life Saving Club, where I proudly served on the committee for two years before standing down in mid-2025. During my time on the committee, I organised member events, supported the hiring out of the hall, and served as the Child Protection Officer for Nippers.
It’s been a privilege to contribute to a place that brings so many people together and plays such an important role in local life.
Genuine Independent
As your elected councillor, I remain 100% independent and self-funded. I have never been a member of any political party and was elected as a local resident determined to represent our community with a strong, authentic voice.
Throughout my campaign, I accepted no donations, ensuring that every decision I make is guided solely by what’s best for the residents and businesses of Sandpiper Ward. My commitment is, and always has been, to you—my neighbours.

Sandpiper is my home.
As I walk the streets, I encounter the same challenges and share experiences with fellow residents.
With your input, we can address the common issues and create a positive change for everyone.
